Today I just wrote my Congressman, Mike Simpson urging him to oppose any legislation that would undermine our housing market, namely the preservation of the Mortgage Interest Deduction (MID). There has been talk of a bill that would change our current tax laws, so the MID would no longer exist. We all want this important deduction to stay! As a member of the National Association of Realtors, with more than 1 million members, hopefully we can make a difference! I urge all of you to also write your congressman! No economic recovery is possible without a vibrant housing market!
